Victoria – Point Addis – Surf Coast

Welcome to Point Addis — a wild and moody pocket of the Surf Coast where the cliffs are steep, the water’s clean, and the sessions feel earned.

For kitesurfing, you’re looking for SE to SW winds — this gives you cross-shore to cross-onshore from the right (south-facing) angle, keeping you in the pocket and not drifting into Bass Strait. Anything NW or W? That’s offshore and dangerous — leave it to the wind watchers and stick to safer spots.

When the wind’s right and the tide’s mid to low, Point Addis becomes a secret weapon. Long, wrapping rights peel in over reef, perfect for wave-focused riders who don’t need a flatwater playground. The beach is narrow though — high tide will swallow it whole, and rigging space is already limited.

Launch area is tight and rocky. You’ll want to be confident with your handling and have backup — this isn’t a place for solo missions. Bring a friend, bring booties, and bring your A-game.

Part of a marine park, so respect the zone — no dune stomping, no litter, no dramas.

If you score it, you’ll walk away buzzing. If it’s not on, head west to 13th Beach or Roadknight where the setup’s easier and the vibe’s a bit more forgiving.
