South Australia – Largs Beach, Adelaide
Welcome to Largs — Adelaide’s kitey front yard, where seabreezes clock on like shift workers and the Gulf opens up just enough to let you play. A metro classic, this spot blends convenience with clean fun, and when it’s pumping, the locals are out in force with lines high and smiles wide.
Southwest to west is your golden ticket — steady, reliable, and funnelling straight down the beach. Shallow waters stretch out like a training ground, making it beginner-friendly but with just enough kickers on the right days to keep the seasoned crew entertained.
Rig north of the jetty near the Largs Bay Sailing Club and stay inside the permitted kite zone. Tag up if you’re with KSA, and be mindful of swimmers, dog walkers, and the occasional rogue sandcastle.
It’s not remote, it’s not rugged — but for a city kite, Largs delivers. Easy in, easy out, and a guaranteed wind fix close to home.
