Victoria – Celia Lookout (Discovery Bay)

Welcome to Celia Lookout — a windswept clifftop vantage over the vast, untamed beaches of Discovery Bay. From up here, the Southern Ocean stretches out wild and unfiltered, slamming into a coast defined by low-gradient beaches, towering dunes, and raw power.

Below, you’ll spot endless sandbanks and long, exposed lines — and yes, there’s an epic surf spot just down the coast. Known to those in the know, the surf here gets heavy — freight-train rights and lefts peeling across remote banks when the swell and sandbars align. No lifeguards, no easy entry, no crowd. Just proper waves for confident chargers who thrive on isolation.

For kiters, the beach below holds potential, especially on a strong SE to SW blow. But it’s pure wilderness — there’s no access road straight to the beach, no safety margin, and no easy out if things go wrong. You're miles from help, and you’d better be geared up and good to go.

Celia is less of a session spot and more of a scout’s dream — a place to soak in the scale, plan your mission, and respect the raw energy of Victoria’s wild west coast.
